All players must be members of the Essex Contract Bridge Association. The £19.00 membership fee, due on the 1^st of April should be included with the entry fee if not already paid.

In knock-out events the results must be sent to: The Hon. Tournament Secretary, Bob Allen, 15 Victoria Avenue, Grays, Essex, RM16 2RL, signed by both captains immediately after the match giving full details of scores and teams.

The Laws of Duplicate Bridge apply to all events. Any dispute in private matches must be referred to the County Committee. In multi-table heats the decision of the Tournament Director must be accepted.

Private systems of bidding are not allowed.

The result of a match, when posted to the Hon. Tournament Secretary cannot be changed.

Cheques for entry fees and subscriptions should be made payable to, “The Essex Contract Bridge Association”.

Any player may play in any heat arranged by the county, irrespective of whether that player lives in the immediate vicinity of the place where the heat is held.

In the event of qualifiers withdrawing, replacements will be taken from any heats with the object of maintaining an equal percentage of qualifiers from all heats.

Spoons will be awarded to Heat Winners in the Essex Pairs Championship and the Summer Club Pairs.

No acknowledgement of entries will be given. Reminder cards will not be sent for events. If you enter for a competition, you are expected to attend, unless you notify the Hon. Tournament Secretary otherwise.

There will be no refund of entry fees, unless notice of withdrawal is given at least 10 day before the event.

Refreshments: Where refreshments are ordered, and a team or pair does not turn up without prior notification they will be required to pay the due fees.

EBU prize Vouchers: Essex members can now use EBU Prize Vouchers to enter Essex competitions.
