Bored with chatty bridge ?
You enjoy having your friends round for a social evening,
but would like a
more competitive scene as well ?Why
not join one of the many affiliated clubs in Essex (some listed on our
website), and play duplicate bridge ? At the same time, you can join the
Essex Contract Bridge
Association, which will increase your scope
enormously. You will find details of competitions and leagues, plus results
of all the events sent to you twice a year, and in addition, six copies of
English Bridge per year posted direct to your home. Yes, membership of the
English Bridge Union is included in the subscription. English Bridge gives
not only news of National competitions, but also some helpful hints on
bidding and play. You can participate in the Master Point scheme and achieve
a career ranking, which will improve as you earn more points. Just 200 Local
Points gets you on the first rung of the ladder.
Membership for 2006/2007 is only £20.50
(£15.50 for the EBU and £5.00 for Essex). So
apply now to the Secretary for a joining form, or send a cheque made payable
to the ECBA with full details of your name, address and telephone no.
